Tuning is where a pile of parts becomes a truck that runs the way you wanted. Calibration is matched to your hardware, your fuel, and your use case — towing heavy, daily driving, or both.

In practice that means throttle response that tracks the pedal, shift points that suit the load, EGTs and rail pressure held where they belong, and a truck that behaves the same on the third hour of a grade as it did on the first.
